SUMMER 2022 SET SAIL

The prep work for camp outfits has begun.  Sophia helped weed the vinyl for the drop off shirts and helped get them made. The girls talked about what they were wanting for theme nights so we got busy with getting outfits together and made for all the girls.  

This drop off was one for the books for sure!  In all the years we have been dropping off at Sky Ranch this was the craziest one.  Justin was not feeling well so I was going down solo to drop Sophia and Luke off.  As we turned off of the highway we saw a huge dark cloud right where we were headed!  We turn on the property and are greeted with the crew with cookies and then the look on the staffs face as they handed us the cookie and the flash in the sky... they ran as fast as they could and the skies opened up like I had never seen.  It poured for over an hour and we just sat in the car waiting in line to get checked in.  We could not turn off the car because it was so hot and humid.  After the rain stopped the crew repapered and said they could not check us in because they had lost power and the generators were kicking on.  

I hit two more storms on the way home and it was crazy rain.  Now, time to stalk the website for pics!

Sophia had a great time at Sky Ranch this year!  She was so excited to get to see Claire again this year, she comes from Nevada.  They were not in the same cabin but they were sister cabins so got to see each other every day at their activities.  She was so excited to tell us ALL the things and only stopped talking for about 3 minutes on the ride home and then started right back up.  

The first thing we had to do was get those feet washed when we got home... then of course get her eye lash curler out.  lol  

Monday morning Sophia woke up not feeling well and was running fever.  We had gotten word on Sunday that Claire had woken up with a fever but tested negative for COVID so that was good.  Sophia was fine after a day or two.  

We cannot wait until next year for the BEST WEEK EVER!!!
