Summer 2017 Sky Ranch Launch Camp BOOM TOWN

Let the adventure begin... Sophia decided she wanted to go to the Sky Ranch Launch Camp at the local school this summer.  She has been seeing Jonah and Luke go for the last few summers and wanted to try it out.  She and Maggie went together and they were in the Busy Bee tent.  The launch camp lets the kids  see a glimpse of what sleep away camp will be like.  This camp was 4 day from 9:00-4:00.  Sophia had a blast and wanted to sign up for next summer for sleepaway camp in Van, TX before we left the last day!

SUMMER 2022 SET SAIL

The prep work for camp outfits has begun.  Sophia helped weed the vinyl for the drop off shirts and helped get them made. The girls talked about what they were wanting for theme nights so we got busy with getting outfits together and made for all the girls.   This drop off was one for the books for sure!  In all the years we have been dropping off at Sky Ranch this was the craziest one.  Justin was not feeling well so I was going down solo to drop Sophia and Luke off.  As we turned off of the highway we saw a huge dark cloud right where we were headed!  We turn on the property and are greeted with the crew with cookies and then the look on the staffs face as they handed us the cookie and the flash in the sky... they ran as fast as they could and the skies opened up like I had never seen.  It poured for over an hour and we just sat in the car waiting in line to get checked in.  We could not turn off the car because it was so hot and humid...

Summer 2020 The Year Of The Pandemic... COVID 19 LIGHT IT UP

We did not know if camp was even going to happen this summer because of COVID.  We are so happy that is happened!  The session right after us did not get to go because so many of the staff got sick.  They passed out a buff for every camper to wear but as you can see they did not wear them the entire time... PRAISE THE LORD.   It rained on our way down and we watched the decorated windows wash away.   CABIN: Clara's Crib
